It is that time of year when you show how much you appreciate our teachers! We would love to hear from you!

Tell us what you love about your student's teacher or teachers, and we will give a special shout-out to them personalized by you!! Include your name, the teacher(s), and a short thank you. All announcements must follow district guidelines.

Banks County Middle School Hosts Career Fair

Banks County Middle School recently hosted a Career Fair, showcasing a wide array of professional opportunities to students. Local businesses and organizations and various departments from Banks County Schools were present for the annual event.

BCMS April/May Newsletter

As we near the end of this school year, we want to highlight an important upcoming event: the End of Grade assessments (EOGs). We're proud of the hard work both students and teachers have put in throughout the year, and these tests are a chance for our students to showcase their learning. While the EOGs themselves don't contribute to a student's grade, their results are significant for various aspects of your child's educational journey. We kindly request your support in ensuring your child attends school regularly during testing and arrives on time each day. It's also important that your child brings a fully charged Chromebook and is encouraged to give their best effort.

Banks County School System Celebrates Young Georgia Author Winners

Two students from Banks County have been announced as Pioneer RESA grade-level winners in the esteemed Young Georgia Author writing competition. Students from all grade levels at Banks County Schools entered the competition. Jay Krause, a kindergartner, and Eden Bless, a seventh grader, were named the grade-level winners by Pioneer RESA.

Banks County Farm Bureau Contest Winners Announced

Congratulations to the Banks County Schools students who participated in the Farm Bureau poster contest!

Mrs. Julie Jackson presented the awards, celebrating the students' creativity and exploration of Georgia agriculture. This contest aims to enhance their understanding of agriculture's vital role. It highlights the diversity of crops and livestock produced in Georgia, such as poultry, beef cattle, dairy, cotton, peanuts, and more.

There are many important events and updates in March; be sure to check out our March newsletter. Our classrooms are currently preparing for the upcoming Milestones. March 11th is a student holiday and teacher workday. Please note that Spring Break will be from April 1st to April 6th.
