Georgia Parent Survey

The Georgia Parent Survey was developed to measure parent perceptions of school climate at your child’s school. Your opinion is very important to us. If your children attend more than one Banks County School, please complete a survey for each school. The survey will be open until March 1st. Thank you for your time and participation.

Lockdown drills

Lockdown Drills at BCMS and BCHS March 12, 2024

Banks County High School and Banks County Middle School will conduct a lockdown drill this morning, March 12th, 2024.

Please be assured this is a routine safety exercise and is being carried out in close coordination with the Banks County Sheriff's Office to ensure that our schools remain safe for our students, staff, and community.

Young Georgia Author

Young Georgia Author Writing Competition Winners

Congratulations to the students recognized for their outstanding performance in the Young Georgia Author Writing Competition, a prestigious event sponsored by the Georgia Language Arts Supervisors and the Georgia RESA Network, aimed at encouraging a love for writing among Georgia's public school students from grades K-12. The competition celebrates student achievement in writing and the arts, encouraging them to develop their writing skills and enjoy the process of creating.

Georgia Student Health Survey

The Georgia Student Health Survey (GSHS) is an anonymous, statewide survey instrument created by the Georgia Department of Education in collaboration with other state partners. The GSHS is administered online each year to students in grades 3-12. Middle and high school students (grades 6-12) participate in the standard survey and elemetary students (grades 3-5) participate in an abbreviated survey. Survey results assist in the identification of safety, climate, and health issues that impact student achievement and help guide school prevention and intervention strategies.

BCHS Registration 2024-2025 School Year

BCHS is gearing up for the 2024-2025 school year registration, starting with a Parent Preview on March 4 at 5:00 PM in the BCHS Auditorium. Students in grades 8-11 will choose electives from March 4-7, and Course Recommendation Packets are due by March 29. Parents are encouraged to meet with advisors between March 18-29 to discuss their child's course options.

🎉 Exciting News from Banks County Schools! 🎉

We are thrilled to announce the release of our first-ever district magazine!

The Fall 2023 edition is packed with stories from our district - our amazing programs, dedicated teachers, vibrant clubs, athletic achievements, musical talents, supportive families, the groundbreaking HERO unit, and the state-of-the-art Michael E. Beasley Center. We also have special alumni and a Leopard Family spotlight feature.

While we have so much to celebrate, we couldn't fit everything into one issue. But don't worry; we are already planning our next release soon! This is just the beginning of sharing the incredible stories that make Banks County Schools unique.

Electronic copies are now available on our website and social media platforms. Hard copies will be available for pickup at your local school starting next week. Be sure to get yours early, as copies are limited!

Abigail Bray Shines in District 14 Honor Band Event

BCMS is proud to announce that Abigail Bray has successfully participated in the District 14 Honor Band event. Selected through a challenging audition process, Abigail joined other high-scoring students to collaborate with top district musicians, preparing a concert in just two days.
