Due to the forecast of inclement weather, Banks County Schools will be closed for students and staff tomorrow, Thursday, September 26 and Friday, September 27. All sports and extra-curricular activities will be canceled for Thursday and Friday, as well. Please be safe over these next few days.

The Banks County School System announces Teachers of the Year and Classified Employees of the Year for each school, recognizing their exceptional dedication to education and the students they serve. The recipients were selected by ballot from their colleagues at each school.

Today, Banks County Middle and Banks County High School will conduct essential lockdown drills to ensure the safety and preparedness of our students and staff. This exercise will be supported by the Banks County Sheriff’s Office, Banks County EMS, and the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA).

Banks County Schools is proud to announce the Banks County Rotary Student and Teacher of the Month for September. Parker Bryant, a 6th-grade student at Banks County Middle School, has been selected as Student of the Month, and Mrs. Angie Austin, a 6th-grade science teacher, has been named Teacher of the Month.

Banks County Schools will send home progress reports on September 13.
