Distraction Free Learning

In response to new state legislation (HB 340) and the negative impact cell phones and other personal electronic devices have on student learning, Banks County Board of Education is establishing a policy prohibiting the use of all personal electronic devices by students in grades K-12 from the first bell at the start of school each morning to the last dismissal bell at the end of the school day.

Principal's Message

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

Welcome to Banks County Middle School—Home of the Leopards!

It is truly an honor to serve as the principal of BCMS. As principal, I am deeply committed to student success, educational excellence, and community partnership.

At BCMS, our vision is clear: Expect more. Achieve more. Be more. This guiding statement reflects our belief in the incredible potential of every student who walks through our doors. We set high expectations, not only because our students are capable, but because they deserve the opportunity to rise, grow, and thrive—in academics, in character, and in life.

Banks County is a special place, and I’m proud to be part of a community that values hard work, strong character, excellence in education. I am excited to partner with our dedicated teachers, supportive families, and, most importantly, our amazing students to make this school year a meaningful and successful one.

Together, we will build on the strong foundation already in place at BCMS and continue to create a school culture where students are challenged, supported, and inspired to become their very best selves.

Let's make this a great year by empowering our students to expect more of themselves, achieve more in all they do, and be more for their community and their future.

Sincerely,
Dr. Kaila Steele
