Banks County Middle School Track and Field continues to dominate this season! A season record was set at the state meet recently held at Parkview High School. Several athletes participated in the event. Eighth-grader Marleigh Dale had a podium finish of 3rd place in the Shot Put (39'6"), breaking her school record!

Steven Brett and his colleagues Josh Hooker and Dustin Baker from RAD SOURCE Technologies have generously donated a new 3-D Printer with supplies as well as a new and improved Vandergraph Generator and equipment for experiments to the 8th grade Science teachers Ms. Lori Taylor and Mrs. Stephanie Kinsey.

Banks County Board of Education recognized the district winners of the Young Georgia Authors (YGA) writing competition at the April Board of Education meeting.

On March 31st, Banks County Schools celebrated the 2023 Special Olympics, or as many of our community staff and students call the day, "The Best Day of the Year."

Special Olympics Director Tondra Boswell has been instrumental in organizing the event for the past eight years. The National Special Olympics Motto is "Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt." Banks County Schools have adopted their slogan: Be Brave, Choose Kind, with the words Be and Choose representing BC.

Over thirty presenters were on hand to speak to Banks County Middle School students for their annual Career Fair held before Spring Break.
