District leaders, including Superintendent Dr. Ann Hopkins and Deputy Superintendent Michael Williams, recently visited BCMS alongside school administrators to surprise both recipients and join in the celebration.
Principal Chuck Butler expressed his deep gratitude for both honorees:
"Dr. Kellie Daniel does a phenomenal job teaching agriculture and FFA. She loves our students and impacts them daily by building great relationships with each of them! We are proud to have her named TOTY."
"Amanda Massey is such a hard worker and dedicated member of our team. She serves as our bookkeeper and registrar and we are so proud to honor her."
Both Dr. Daniel and Mrs. Massey will be formally celebrated during the system recognition banquet in October, where the Banks County District Teacher of the Year will also be announced.
