Administration Team

Mrs. Lisa Saxon serves as the principal at Banks County Middle School. She brings a wealth of experience, an unwavering passion for education, and a heartfelt commitment to nurturing the minds and hearts of our students. Her journey to this role has been marked by a profound belief in the transformative power of education and an unrelenting dedication to ensuring that every student reaches their fullest potential. Her leadership style is characterized by approachability, open communication, and a profound understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that the middle school years bring. She has served in administrative roles at elementary, middle, and high school levels and at the Georgia Department of Education.
 
Mrs. Saxon and her husband, Doug, live in Banks County. They have four children (Austin, Logen, Baylee, and Sydney.) and three grandchildren (Ava, Truett, and Sarah Lewis.) She enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid sports fan.

Mr. Chuck Butler serves as the Assistant Principal of Banks County Schools, the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Banks County High School, and the Athletic Director at Banks County Middle School. He has held the role of Assistant Principal for five years. 

 

Before joining Banks County, Mr. Butler gained valuable experience as a teacher and coach across various schools. He spent five years at East Jackson Middle School, teaching Health and Physical Education and serving as the Head Boys' Basketball Coach. Prior to his role at EJMS, he served at Clarke Central High School as a Health and Physical Education teacher, Head Varsity Softball Coach, and Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach. His experience includes six years at West Jackson Intermediate School as a Physical Education Teacher and Head Junior Varsity Basketball Coach and five years at Jackson County High School as a Physical Education Teacher and Head Varsity Basketball Coach.

 

Mr. Butler is married to Tanya and has two children, Carlie and Cash. He enjoys spending time with his family and is a dedicated sports fan. He is passionate about supporting his students both on and off the court.
