Jefferson Counseling started the event with insights into the mental health field, followed by DJ Chris Fuller, who introduced the students to the world of entertainment and sound engineering. Representatives from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and Banks County Health Department discussed careers in forensic science and public health.
The Banks County Fire Department demonstrated firefighting techniques and also paramedic services. Ivy Funeral Home spoke about the respectful and dignified nature of funeral services. Students learned about wildlife conservation from a local Game Warden and explored physical fitness careers with Thunder Tumbling.
The Banks County Sheriff's Office highlighted law enforcement opportunities, and the Banks County Rotary Interact Club engaged students with their community service projects, emphasizing leadership and teamwork.
Lanier Tech presented the Phlebotomy Program offered at their institution.
Representatives from Banks County Schools were also present to showcase the district's educational opportunities and various BCHS programs in Early Childhood, Business, Interact Club, FBLA, and Culinary Arts.
The day includes presentations from Triple L Farms, real estate with Keller Williams, and financial careers with My Georgia Credit Union.
