Banks County Middle School Student  Jonah Williams Creates Online Game Through Coding

“I started working on this a while back in the program SCRATCH. I have created four sections for the game Platformer Template. The music for the program was made through a different platform. I like coding because I can see my progress, it is challenging, and it gives me something to do in my spare time, " said Williams.

Williams presented his game to his classmates during his Computer Science Class.

“Block coding can create powerful apps and games. Jonah has worked hard on the program and is extremely talented with these skills”, stated Tiffany Davis, Banks County Middle School Computer Science teacher.

Banks County Schools have been at the forefront of implementing the course in middle and high school. It is one of the highest-demand courses offered in the county. Computer Science is part of the system's CTAE initiative.
